Alexis has begun filming her latest movie, a romantic comedy entitled The Good Guy, in New York City and some pictures are in the gallery, more to come.
Also on Monday Alexis and her TSOTTP 2 co-stars arrived at the MTV studios for an appearance on TRL in Times Square, New York City, and 24 pictures have been added to the gallery.
Alexis Bledel and her The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 co-stars Blake Lively, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America yesterday to help promote the sequel to their criticially-acclaimed 2005 effort, which opens in theaters August 6. I’ve added 8 HQ pictures from the appearance, plus 200 captures. and you can watch the video here.
Magic pants can’t take away all of your problems. Especially when they involve a motorized bike on rocky Grecian terrain.
And unfortunately, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 stars America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn have the scars to prove it.

Now a student at the Rhode Island School of Design, Lena gets caught in a love triangle with studly — and nude — art school model Leo (Jesse Williams) and her Greek boyfriend Kostos (reprised by Michael Rady).
“She needs a little help,” Bledel laughs.
‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2′ is a fit accompli
Thanks to the “Sex and the City” quartet, the chick flick went from Hollywood also-ran to bona fide blockbuster this summer - and that movie’s success is likely to help another all-girl power foursome when “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2″ opens Wednesday.
There’s arty, idealistic dreamer Lena (Alexis Bledel), Charlotte York with a Greek twist;

Alexis Bledel is as reserved as her onscreen alter ego. Arty Lena might be silent out of shyness, but Bledel is clearly a sardonic wit. And she’s a sports nut on whose soccer team Ferrera tried to earn a spot.
Bledel is in New York now to film a movie, “The Good Guy,” and both Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn chide her playfully for not having called after more than two weeks in town.
“You’re busy dude, and I had a rough couple of weeks,” says Bledel, promising to make up for it.
‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’: Girls gone mild
In an era when young Hollywood has gone wild, the “Sisterhood” remains mild.
Bledel and Tamblyn are equally good girls who have not even warranted an Enquirer cover. “I have a general disinterest in that life. It’s not interesting to me,” says the cerebral Tamblyn.
Adds the former Rory Gilmore, “I’m a pretty low-key person.”
Regardless of their reversal of fortunes, all four women agree that their group chemistry remains the same for the sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which opens on Wednesday.

“This film was a little tricky because it was three books all in one movie,” 26-year-old Bledel notes. “There was a lot of material. But the things that were important to us about our characters, they let us keep, so hopefully it comes across.”
Actress Alexis Bledel Thrives On A Breakneck Work Schedule, And That’s A Good Thing Lately
When the makers of the original “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” movie saw that their sequel option was expiring, the preparation went into hyperspeed.
“It was hectic; it was crazy,” Alexis Bledel says. “It was evolving as we were shooting it.”
What could have been unnerving was business as usual for Bledel.
From 2000 to 2007, she conquered the fluid domain of series television as the pragmatic yet ambitious Rory Gilmore, who had machine-gun banter with her single mom on “Gilmore Girls”.
“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,” opening Wednesday, is Bledel’s first movie since the WB drama comedy went off the air. She will appear in Fox Atomic’s “The Post-Grad Survival Manual” next year.
“I like change,” she says. “So going from one job to another is really exciting for me after all these years.”
Bledel turns 27 in September and looks like the same Rory, with otherworldly blue eyes that invite the corniest of metaphors. Her dog Sophie, a Maltese-chihuahua mix, sniffs about and yelps on occasion. The actor’s manager and publicist sit to the side, texting and checking e-mails. It’s a busy room, even by Manhattan hotel standards.
For seven years, she starred on the hit series Gilmore Girls. Now 26, the lovely but shy Alexis Bledel is focused on the big screen. She has a new movie coming out from Fox called The Post-Grad Survival Guide and an independent film called The Good Guy. But you can see her returning to theaters right now with those magical blue jeans in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, based on a popular young-adult book series about four friends.
On a recent day off, Alexis conceded, “Part 1 wasn’t necessarily big at the box office, but the DVD was huge. In Part 2, we [the four girls who share a friendship and those extraordinary pants] are all a little older, and we’re off to college and new challenges.”
Some actors blather on endlessly about themselves, but Alexis is reticent, skimping on the details. In fact, she first got into acting at a community theater in Texas because her parents thought it would make her less bashful.
For several years, she dated Gilmore cast member and now Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia. But she won’t discuss him, and when I asked, “Anyone new come along yet?” Alexis said, “I don’t want to go there, but I’m happy.”
She became a print model at 14 and was a world traveler before being accepted by NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts—and then dropping out to take on Gilmore Girls.
Since her mom is Mexican and her dad Argentinian, I asked if Bledel was a stage name. “No, it’s my real name,” she said. “My father’s family is Danish and migrated to Argentina.”
How does she spend her free time? Does she work out? “I never was particularly athletic, but now that I have a personal trainer, finally I have muscles,” Alexis said. How did that happen? “It’s a combination of karate and boxing that really taught me a lot. And now I regularly play soccer. But I love cooking. That’s the best thing—cooking and having friends over for dinner.”
Brady’s Bits
Since her former TV character, Rory Gilmore, studied at Yale, I wondered if Alexis spent much time in New Haven. “No,” she said. “The only way I ever would have gotten into Yale was fictionally. The show’s exterior shots were all stock footage of the campus. We never did any filming there. But I found it very flattering when Yale invited me to visit. And I got a lot of fan mail from alumni.” She spoke candidly about work and studying scripts for future movies. Alexis told me she hasn’t totally abandoned TV. “It’s not right for now,” she said. ”But maybe someday I’d go back and do another series. But only if it’s the right thing, the right role.”
Personal
Born Sept. 16, 1981, in Houston, Tex. Single.
Why You Know Her
She played the intelligent and introspective only daughter of a single mom for seven years on Gilmore Girls.
What You Don’t Know
Growing up, Alexis spoke Spanish first. She didn’t learn English until she began attending school.
ALEXIS BLEDEL (Lena) On her place in the “Sisterhood”:
“Lena definitely has good instincts. She has this inner knowledge or awareness that keeps her focused properly on what’s right and wrong. Her problem is she’s too timid with her life, too fearful to step forward and make a decision when it needs to be done. She needs that little push, but her friends are not always there to give it to her.” On her place in life:
“To tell you the truth, with doing (TV’s) Gilmore Girls‘ for so many years, I don’t think I’ve ever had the time to run around and get into trouble. Besides, I’m a pretty low-key person anyway.”
The titular trousers, which worked so much magic in the first film, take a back seat in the sequel. This time around, the focus is on the girls themselves and their individual journeys into adulthood. So why the shift away from the pants? “It doesn’t matter at that point,” says Bledel. “I think they’ve grown out of it.”
While the pants may be fading away, the sisterhood remains strong.
Alexis, in a black Badgley Mischka dress teamed with Azzedine Alaia heels, added that she had no doubts being Lena again.
“It was great. We’re all friends so it was really easy to pick up where we left off.”
And the 26-year-old hinted that there could be another Sisterhood movie, saying: “I guess we’ll see.”
I’ve added more 55 pictures from the TSOTTP2 NY Premiere:
It was billed as an eco-friendly premiere, from the hybrid car transportation to the organic menu, and the cast of The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants 2 revealed they were trying their hardest to be green in real life.
Alexis Bledel, who plays Lena in the film, discussed the Cotton From Blue To Green denim drive that the premiere was based around.
“The cause that they based the marketing campaign around is recycled jeans, and turn them into insulation to be used in homes built for families affected by Hurricane Katrina,” explained the 26-year-old.
Michael Rady, who plays Kostos, said: “I am. I’ve become very green, with water conservation, electricity conservation and gas conservation.”
British actor Tom Wisdom, who plays Ian, admitted: “I try to be, but I do lapse. I think I’m getting better! I did get a reuseable bag from Bloomingdale’s today. I don’t drive at all, which is very green - I take the tube, I walk and I recycle.”
And Rebekah Amarini, who plays Lena’s mum, said: “I am green. I’m a big yogi, and I love the earth and pets. I drive a hybrid car and I take a lot of public transportation too.”
Alexis attended the New York premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 at the Ziegfeld Theatre last night, and a lot of pictures have been added at the galery, more than 70 pictures so far but there is much more to come. Pants 2, which has a PG-13 rating, accelerates in time from the first movie to explore the college-age friendships of main characters Carmen, Bridget, Tibby and Lena. It opens Aug. 6.
